LOWER WEST LIFTS OPEN. UPPER MOUNTAIN ON WIND HOLD! PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFORMATION. STILL SNOWING.
24 to 36 inches of new snow has fallen in the past 24 hours bringing our 7-DAY STORM TOTAL TO 36-52 INCHES. That's more than 4 feet! The storm continues to bear down on us with even more snow expected today. If you are heading up, please dress warmly and be prepared for a heavy weather day with strong winds and low snow levels.
Both the East and West Resorts are expected to operate today though top-to-bottom lifts will open late. Please be prepared for periodic lift closures until this storm subsides. Please be aware of natural obstacles on the ungroomed terrain and obey all boundary signs. There is an avalanche warning on all unpatrolled areas. DO NOT GO OUT OF BOUNDS!
It is snowing heavily. Chains or 4x4 are required on Hwy 138 and Hwy 2. N4/Largo Vista Road is closed until further notice. Hwy 2 from La Canada is generally closed all winter long. Please allow yourself extra time getting to and from the mountain today. Drive save! Slow and steady wins the race.
