Mountain High offers complete ski and snowboard rentals at all three resorts. All rentals are purchased at the Ticket Windows along with tickets and lessons. Rental equipment may look the same but is set differently for each individual so don't mix them up. Always rent at the mountain. If there is a problem with the equipment, we are able to make a quick adujustment or replacement.
Rental Departments
- West Resort - Located across from the base lodge adjacent the parking lot.
- East Resort - Located to the right of the ticket windows.
- North Resort - Located just inside the main lodge.
Lessons
Lessons are available seven days-a-week at the West Resort and on weekends & holidays at the East Resort. If you plan to take a lesson, it is best to park at the same area. Once you have your lift tickets, lesson coupons and equipment, take the time to familiarize yourself with the resort. You will need to be at the Winter Sports School meeting area 30 minutes prior to your lesson starting time. At the West Resort, students meet beneath the Bullwheel Grill and, at the East Resort, directly across from the ticket windows. Classes begin on time! To ensure the uninterrupted attention of your instructor, we will not "add" students to your class after the lesson begins.
We match instructors to students, organize our classes quickly, and maintain optimum instructor / student ratios. Our average snowboard class for the season is 9 students and the average class size for skiers is 7, however your class size may vary depending on when you come. Class sizes tend to be smaller at 9am, 1pm and 2pm on weekends and holidays.
Make sure each individual in your group has their own lift ticket and lesson ticket prior to lesson time.
We offer three lesson start times each day. 10am (Morning), 11am (Midday), 1pm (Afternoon). Lessons are 1 hour & 45 minutes in length. On Peak Days we offer additional start times, with a morning lesson at 9am, and our last afternoon lesson at 2pm. If you are a first-timer and running late, don't panic. Another lesson will assemble shortly up until 1pm.
Traffic, road conditions and parking can often unexpectedly extend your travel time. On Peak Days, we recommend arriving at least 2 hours minutes before your lesson, and for those with morning lessons, we strongly advise aiming for the 9am start time for the best overall experience.
Reservations
Reservations are highly recommended for Childen's Lessons and Private Lessons to expedite the check-in process and to guarantee a spot in a class. If you are planning a trip on a weekend or during a holiday we advise you to reserve as much as a week in advance, especially for the Morning start time. If you are walking-in, or if you have flexibility, we advise considering taking an afternoon lesson (2pm) or visiting on mid-week days to avoid the crowds.

Helpful Hints For A Successful Private Lesson
Discounted private lessons are available at a great savings at 9:00am daily. This is the time when we have the greatest availability of instructors.
Remember your favorite instructors full name, and ask for a card. Find out their scheduled workdays so that you may request them! Special needs or goals should be expressed as well.
To optimize the value of your private lesson, DON'T MIX VASTLY DIFFERENT AGES OR ABILITIES! Doing so limits the instructor's efficiency & effectiveness and diminishes your progress! Children's beginner private lessons are more productive with only one student. The value of your investment is greater splitting them up!
A private lesson may be added to your child's day with their Children's Sport Center Instructor. This really imprints the techniques that they have learned.
You will need a lift ticket to participate in a private lesson....but you will NEVER WAIT IN LINE, so more of your time is spent learning.

After 7.30am 2 days prior to the reservation: $25 fee collected upon next booking/visit

If you are canceling a Youth Lesson or an Intermediate Lesson please call 206-812-4510 ext. 4516. Please have your order # ready. You can also email us at Cancellations@stevenspass.com. Please include in your email order #, participant's name, date and product you are canceling and a new date if you would like to reschedule. Our cancellation policy is:
- Up to 7:30am 2 days prior: no charge
- 7:30am 2 days prior to 7:30am the day of: $25 fee applied
- After 7:30am the day of: charged full price*
- Refunds are not offered for arriving late or leaving early.
*in the case of a Learn-in-3 Guarantee visit, a $25 fee will be charged at the time of your next booking.
