The mountains are our home. They are our escape. They are a source of never-ending joy and limitless beauty.  Now, more than ever, there is an urge to reconnect with the outdoors and we can’t wait until we can soar down the mountain again with fresh snow under our feet.

At Mountain High, we introduce, educate, and inspire guests to participate in a lifetime of winter sports.  Safety has always been an important part of that equation and this year our dedication to safety takes an even larger role.  We are fortunate our sport takes place outdoors across wide-open spaces however, to protect both guests, employees, and our local community, some changes will need to take place this winter.

It goes without saying that Mountain High will abide by state and local regulations but that’s just the start.  Since the beginning of this crisis, we have made a commitment to our guests, employees, and community to operate in a way that is safe and uses insights from resorts and attractions around the world.  This may mean going above and beyond what is sometimes required in order to provide you with the very best experience.  We understand these changes (however temporary) may be inconvenient and we ask you for your understanding and patience.

For your safety, Mountain High will be requiring face coverings, physical distancing, and, in some cases, health screenings when physical distancing may not be possible, such as in our Winter Sports School.  In addition, we will be limiting the number of daily visitors to the mountain.  This will create a phenomenal on-snow experience but require all tickets, lessons, and rentals to be purchased online at mthigh.com, sometimes as much as 48Hrs in advance.

The only way to guarantee your spot this winter is with a Season Pass.  Each day we set a certain number of spaces aside based on historic business levels so pass holders are always guaranteed admission and daily reservations are not required.  Only 5,000 season passes are available this fall.

To give pass holders further peace of mind we have instituted our new Season Pass Assurance.

  • If government agencies close ski resorts for the season prior to opening day, 20/21 pass holder may apply the full value of their pass towards the purchase of a 21/22 season pass.
  • Partial credit toward a 21/22 season pass is available if the season ends before February 1, 2021. Credit varies based on the remainder of the season.
  • If, for any reason, you cannot use your season pass, return it by December 1st and transfer the full value towards the purchase of a 21/22 season pass. There is no fee to defer your season pass to winter 21/22.

We know this season is going to come with a lot of variables and want you to feel comfortable when purchasing your season pass.  We are also offering a FREE Buddy Ticket to guests who purchase by Labor Day 9/7.

At Mountain High, we plan to open as soon as conditions allow and are ready to begin making snow any time after November 1st, conditions permitting.

While it’s not possible to know every detail, I hope this update gives you a sense of what to expect this winter. We are excited about the season and highly recommend purchasing one of our pass products before they sell out to ensure the best value and best access to the resort.  Get more details on our various pass products at mthigh.com.

From all of us at Mountain High, we want you to know how much we appreciate you and your support.  Thank you again and we can’t wait to see you this winter.

Cordially,

Karl Kapuscinski
