Mountain High Resorts in Wrightwood, CA, reopens Monday, March 6th, for skiing, snowboarding, and snow play. Mountain High has been closed since late Friday, March 24th, due to extreme snowfall.

Mountain High is Southern California’s closest winter resort with two great mountains, a peak elevation of 8,200 feet, and runs more than 1.5 miles long. During the last storm they received more than 9 feet of snow setting a new record for the area. The last time residents recall a storm delivering more than 6 feet was 1979.

Both Mountain High’s East & West Resorts will open for skiing & snowboarding Monday from 9am-4pm. Operating hours will expand to 9am-10pm on Wednesday when Night Skiing begins and continue through the weekend. All amenities are available such as lessons, rentals, and retail.

Tickets may be reserved now for Monday, March 6th, at https://www.mthigh.com/site. While there guests can get updated snow and road conditions, check the Mountain High calendar for daily hours of operation, and view live cams.

When on the mountain, resort managers urge guests to stay in bounds. Areas beyond the ski area boundary are not patrolled or maintained, and avalanches and other hazards may exist. Going beyond a boundary or ignoring posted signs may result in revoked privileges.

For those who just want to play in the snow, the Yeti’s Snow Play will be open Monday through Sunday from 10am-4pm with tubing, sledding, snow play, and scenic sky chair rides. Guests can meet the Yeti and his friends or have lunch at 8,200 feet at the Grand View Lodge. Tickets can be reserved at https://shop.mthigh.com/yeti-park
