Blacktail Mountain is located above the town of Lakeside, Montana, overlooking Flathead Lake with easy access from Highway 93 South.  It is one of the few resorts in the country where you park at the top and ski a full run before ever getting on a chair.  Stretching deep into the National Forest, Blacktail offers 29 trails spread over 1,000 skiable acres.

Blacktail has four ski lifts, one triple chair, two double chairs, and one handle tow. The area offers terrain for every age and ability (15% beginner, 65% intermediate, 20% expert) plus a terrain park.  Blacktail benefits from 250” of fresh snow annual and two (2) of the expert trails run through open tree fields that can be skied through.

With a top elevation of 6,676 Ft, Blacktail packs a 1,440 vertical drop and trails up to 1.5 miles long. Their average operating season is mid-December through mid-April. To learn more about Blacktail Mountain, visit their website at https://blacktailmountain.com/
