That’s a wrap on the 2026 H2O Winter Classic!
Day 1 of the event kicked off here at Mountain High with sunny skies and blustery Santa Ana winds keeping the banked slalom course fast and firm. Competitors sent it down the track in a best 2-out-of-3 format to determine their overall scores. The energy stayed high all day as snowboarders and surfers cheered each other on. The day wrapped up with food from Wahoo’s and an awards ceremony recognizing the snowboarding winners. Competition then prepared to move from the mountains to the pool.
Day 2 took place at the Palm Springs Surf Club in perfect 85-degree sunshine. Both surfers and snowboarders hit the water, chasing the challenge of mastering the waves. The difference in experience quickly became clear—surfers navigated the pool frontside and backside with ease, while snowboarders worked to find their footing. Still, the vibes and camaraderie among all the athletes were second to none.
After a long and exciting weekend, it was Dante Madrigal who took home the win in the Men’s Pro Division, earning the title of H2O Winter Classic Champion. CLICK HERE FOR FULL RESULTS.
