🟢- Lil Pines:

  • Distance: 2.4 miles
  • Description: Perfect for beginners, this trail let's you enhance your skills while also providing a comfortable feel. Lil Pines is the easiest route down and provides smooth, wide-open terrain. This trail has minimal obstacles and allows the rider to navigate with confidence.

🟦- Break Away:

  • Distance: 0.22 miles 
  • Description: True to its name, Break Away allows the rider to get off the beginner trail and get into the more technical terrain. Shorter of the trails, but accompanied by quick rollers and a step-down jump for a nice flow into the lower half of the mountain.

🟦- Coyote Creek:

  • Distance: 3.2 miles
  • Description: The longest and most technical of our runs. Coyote Creek's switchbacks, tight turns, and bigger jumps will put any intermediate rider's skills to the test. This trail is perfect for riders to improve on their technical abilities and still enjoying enough speed that you will want to be coming back for more.

Rules & Requirements

  • At this time ONLY Class 1 E-Bikes (under 60 pounds) & standard pedal bicycles are permitted on our mountain bike trails.
  • Minimum bike size is 20″
  • Chairlift rides require shoes or sandals that fasten snuggly. Closed-toed footwear highly recommended.
  • Flip-flops are not permitted on the chairlift.
  • Must be at least 36″ tall to ride the chairlift.
  • Guests 36″ – 52″ tall must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Guests 52″ and taller may ride without a guardian (though must have a liability release signed by a guardian 18 years or older)
  • 2025/26 CALI and Base Season Passes do not provide access to summer activities, but CALI Pass Holders receive a discounted price off of Summer 2025 tickets.
  • Animals are not permitted on the chairlift.
  • No shot gun seats on bikes allowed on the lift.

Mountain Biking Safety

  • Stay in control at all times. It is your responsibility to avoid other persons and objects around you.
  • Do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.
  • When entering a trail or staring downhill, you must look uphill and yield to other riders.
  • Please assist if you are involved in or witness a collision or accident and identify yourself to the Bike Patrol or Bike Trail crew.
  • Keep off closed areas and obey all signs and warnings.
  • Stay on marked trails. Do not cut switchbacks.
  • Stay off lifts and out of the Bike Park if your ability is impaired through the use of drugs or alcohol.
  • You must have sufficient physical dexterity, ability and knowledge to safely ride and unload lifts. If in doubt, ask the attendant.
  • Hiking in the Bike Park is not permitted.
  • Do not feed, provoke or approach wildlife.

The Mountain Biker's Responsibility Code has been developed to help inform riders about the information, decision-making and actions every rider should know and take prior to and while riding on the variety of trails within a ski area’s trail network.

Similar to the 10 points of Your Responsibility Code, this code reminds riders that there are elements of risk in mountain biking that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Check with area employees to see if there are other local considerations for which you should be aware, such as wildlife.


Mountain Bike Checklist- For those riding own Bike

The trails of Mountain High Resort may be rough and demanding on both the bike and body.  Before riding always inspect your equipment or have it checked by a qualified bike mechanic.

  • Ensure your helmet is in good shape and properly adjusted
  • Inspect bike frame for cracks and damaged or dented areas.
  • Ensure your brakes are adjusted properly to stop your bike while descending.
  • Front and rear axles should be tight.
  • Headset and stem must be secure with no looseness or play.
  • Check that your tires are in good condition, with no tears or cuts in the sidewall.
  • Handle bar and handle grips must be tight and unable to spin.  Seat and seat post need to be fastened securely.

Trail maps are available for guests that accurately depict mountain bike trails and appropriate levels of difficulty. WE highly recommend that for your own safety that you stay on designated, patrolled and Maintained Mountain High trails.
