Mountain High Resorts is committed to ensuring the Health and Safety of our guests and employees. This includes following guidelines and regulations from Federal, State, and Local agencies with regard to preventing the spread of COVID-19. Due to the changing nature of the public health emergency and changing recommendations from public health agencies, Mountain High's policies, and procedures related to mitigating the risk of disease and transmission will likely change over time, with little or no notice. In such, every reasonable effort will be made to advise our guests and employees of changes to any procedures or policy. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about the resorts policies and procedures.

Mountain High Resort has developed and implemented interim company-wide policies and procedures which are in effect now. We expect with the evolving situation that these procedures may change.

When Visiting Mountain High

Mask Up
Guests are required to use personal protective equipment such as face masks while at the resort.

Physical Distancing
Practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet away from others not traveling with you.

Arrive Together. Ride Together
Stick together to slow the spread. Ride lifts, wait in lines, and generally move around the resort with those in your group.

Be Wise. Sanitize!
Hand sanitizer dispensers are placed at key guest and employee entrances and contact areas such as restrooms, reception areas, rental departments and food preparation areas.

Purchase In Advance
Mountain High has implemented contactless services such as phone and online ordering. Tickets, lessons, and rentals must be purchased in advance, sometimes up to 48Hrs. Tickets, lessons, and rentals can no longer be purchased at the ticket windows.

Employee & Guest Health Concerns
Employees are instructed to stay home if they do not feel well. Employees and guests who are exhibiting any of the symptoms of COVID-19 while at the property may be asked to consider leaving the property for the Health and Safety of others.

Hand Washing
Correct hygiene and frequent handwashing with soap are vital to helping combat the spread of the virus. All of Mountain High’s employees have been instructed to wash their hands, or use sanitizer when a sink is not available, as much as feasible and after any of the following activities: using the restroom, sneezing, touching the face, blowing the nose, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, smoking, eating.


Food & Beverage Services

Our food venues are open daily during the season. All guests will be asked to adhere to all guidelines and measures.

  • Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people - social distancing markers are lined out on the floor for reference
  • All tables are now 8ft apart
  • All surfaces are sanitized numerous times daily & guests have access to alcohol-based sanitizer wipes
  • All staff will wear a face mask and gloves while interacting with guests and during food service & preparation
  • Mountain High employees will be adhering to procedures recommended by the state of California and LA County with regard to workplace safety and food handling. Please do not gather in groups, stay out of crowded places, and avoid mass gatherings.

Lift Operations

Employee and Guest Health

  • As per the CDC and other mandated guidelines masks are required for all guests and employees. 
  • Employees are reminded to wash their hands frequently and use sanitizer when handwashing is not possible.
  • Employees are constantly reminded to practice safe social distancing and stay home if not feeling well.

Sanitation Procedures

  • Sanitation of the chairs themselves will be done throughout the day as guests load and unload.
  • Surfaces such as handrails, control panels, doorknobs, and other shared surfaces will be sanitized throughout the day as well.

For Employees

Arriving To Work

Currently, All employees, when arriving at Mountain High at clock-in are required to sign in and confirm that they are symptom-free, have not been exposed, and will have their temperature taken.

Physical Distancing and Hygiene Policies

While at work, employees are expected to adhere to physical distancing guidelines recommended by the State of California and Los Angeles County.

  • Maintain 6ft + physical distance from others.
  • Avoid physical contact (shaking hands, etc.)
  • Avoid carpooling
  • Avoid small spaces when occupied by others (break rooms, vehicles, etc.)
  • If a task requires being closer than 6ft to another person:
  1. Find a different way to accomplish the task
  2. Wear a mask/face covering to reduce the spread of respiratory droplets.

While in the workplace, employees are expected to adhere to personal hygiene practices recommended by the State of California, CDC, and local public health agencies.

  • Wash hands often with warm water and soap, for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Avoid sharing tools or items with others. If items must be shared, they should be disinfected between uses, and users should wash their hands.
  • Cover coughs or sneezes. Best practices are to use a tissue that is then thrown away.
  • Regularly clean and disinfect work areas, including keyboards, phones, surfaces and door handles.
  • The use of masks or face shields is required.
  • Some tasks may require the use of additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Employees Who Develop Symptoms

Employees who appear to have acute respiratory illness symptoms (such as cough or shortness of breath) upon arrival to work or become sick during the day will be separated from other employees and sent home immediately.

Employees who have signs of respiratory illness will be asked to stay home until they are free of fever (below 100.4° F), signs of a fever (such as chills), and any other symptoms for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medicines (such as cough suppressants).

Vendors, Contractors, Concessionaires

All 3rd parties conducting business on Mountain High property (contractors, vendors, concessionaires) will be required to adhere to Mountain High's and Federal, State, and Local agencies' recommendations as it pertains to COVID 19. Mountain High may at its discretion ask the 3rd party to submit to a temperature check and answer questions pertaining to recent health conditions.

Due to the changing nature of the public health situation, communication is essential. We encourage anyone with questions, concerns, recommendations, or requests regarding the health and safety of the resort, their worksite, tasks, or procedures, should immediately contact their manager, director, or Employee Services.
