Congratulations on your decision to discover the thrill of alpine skiing or snowboarding.  Mountain High is where Southern California learns to ski & snowboard, and we want to teach you!  This guide is provided to help your first experience be a great one. By reviewing this information while planning your first visit, you'll arrive at Mountain High well prepared for your skiing or snowboarding adventure.

Mountain High's Winter Sports School has one of the highest return rates in the country so you can learn with confidence.  Our team of professional ski and snowboard coaches is here to help with the latest techniques and equipment (Virtual Snow) designed to shorten the learning curve and help you progress more quickly.  Choose from a number of group packages or take a Private Lesson where you'll get personalized on-hill attention.

At Mountain High we cater to parents & children alike with friendly staff and personal attention.  Our acclaimed Children’s Sports Center is now complete with its own ticket outlet, rental equipment, lessons, lockers, and more.  Just above the Learning Center, parents can relax in the Bullwheel Grill and view their children’s progress over a hearty meal.  Packages are available in Full-Day and Half-Day sessions that include a lift ticket, rentals, lunch and/or a snack and a progress card.

Expect skiing and snowboarding to be fun but challenging.  The biggest difficulty most first timers have is the expectation of being able to ski or board right away. The first day can be frustrating, as putting on a pair of skis or snowboard boots in itself will feel odd. Some first timers learn quickly, others take a little longer.  Start your day knowing it takes everyone a few days to master the basics.
