Team Mountain High (TMH) provides competitive snowsport opportunities to winter enthusiasts throughout Southern California. This program is based on a cooperative relationship between Mountain High's Ski & Snowboard School and the Southern California Ski/Snowboard Education Foundation (SCSEF), a nonprofit organization.
Team Mountain High is a ski and snowboard team which offers skill-based training for competition. Skiers may train to compete in USSA sanctioned races. Snowboarders may train for competition in USASA races and freestyle events. Team Mountain High members include World Cup Kids (skiing) ages 6 - 8 and Youth ages 8 through high school. Team Mountain High snowboard training is available for ages 8 through high school.
Team Mountain High's coaching staff is filled with experienced, certified, professional instructors. Training is conducted at Mountain High Resort most Saturday and Sunday mornings (8am - 12pm) throughout the season except on alternating Saturdays when competition specific training is held in the early evening (4pm - 8pm). Tentatively, over 30 training days/evenings are set for the 2005/06 season. Other training may be scheduled as needed.
Parents of athletes are responsible for race registration, travel, lodging and chaperoning of competitors. A designated Parent Volunteer will coordinate event communication and administration information. TEAM MOUNTAIN HIGH IS NOT AN INTRODUCTORY PROGRAM. PARTICIPANTS MUST BE COMPETENT, INDEPENDENT NON-BEGINNERS.
