Wrightwood, CA – November 21, 2011: Mountain High Resort in Wrightwood is supporting needy families of the High Desert this holiday season with a toy and canned food drive sponsored by The Society of Saint Vincent De Paul.  Any guest who brings an unwrapped toy or 2+ non-perishable food items to Mountain High between November 28th and December 16th, 2011, will receive $10 off an adult, 8-Hour lift ticket.  Ticket must be purchased at the time of donation.  This promotion may not be used in conjunction with any other discount or off

Wrightwood, CA – November 8, 2011:  Mountain High is now open for the 2011/12 season and on Friday, November 11th, the Wrightwood resort will offer free skiing to all military, active and veteran, in honor of Veterans Day. This is the second year Mountain High has made this gesture.

Says President and CEO, Karl Kapuscinski, “We are very excited about the new season and this is our way of saying Thank You for your never-ending service.”

Wrightwood, CA – November 5, 2011:  Winter has officially arrived in Southern California. A strong, early-season storm left 4 to 6 inches of new snow yesterday and Mountain High was able to make enough additional snow overnight to open today at 12pm. This makes Mountain High the first area in Southern California to open for the 15th straight year and the second in the state.

Wrightwood, CA – November 4, 2011:  The regions first winter storm hit local mountains hard dropping 4 to 5 inches of new snow. Mountain High is now making snow top-to-bottom and expects to open in the next several days. With a mixture of cold temperatures and continued snow showers, conditions look favorable for snowmaking and the Wrightwood resort plans to continue operations as long as possible.
