MOUNTAIN HIGH RECEIVES THE 2008 DIVERSITY LEADERSHIP AWARD FROM SKI AREA MANAGEMENT
Mountain High is one of the most ethnically diverse resorts in the county with minorities making up more than half its visits. Later this month Ski Area Management (SAM) will be presenting Mountain High with the 2008 Diversity Leadership Award for its outstanding work in this area.
 
EDWARD ACEVES WINS 2008 4RUNNER IN MOUNTAIN HIGH’S ANNUAL TOYOTA GIVEAWAY
Edward Aceves, a 41 year old IT Professional from Burbank, CA, was recently named the grand prize winner in this year’s Toyota Sweepstakes at Mountain High Resort. Spring Jam, Mountain High’s annual spring break celebration returns this Saturday, March 22nd, with a full line up of contests, activities and live performances. For three straight weekends, fun seekers can participate in events like Pond Skimming, The Frozen T-Shirt Contest, and Get Ready to Rock…Band.
 
BOUNCE BACK DAYS RETURN TO MOUNTAIN HIGH
Bounce Back Days have returned to Mountain High, CA. Any guest that purchases an adult ticket now through the end of the season will receive a voucher good for 50% off their next midweek visit.
 
SAM HULBERT DOMINATES THE $25,000 CHOLULA TRIPLE AIR SHOW
The $25,000 Cholula Triple Air Show and Monster Boarder Babes returned to Mountain High this Saturday. Sam Hulbert took home first place and $10,000 for his performance in the Open Men’s division and an additional $1,500 for a switch back 9 that landed him best trick. In the Monster Energy Open Women’s division Mary Sallah walked away with $2,500 just edging out Nicki Slechta and Laurie Currier.
 
$25,000 CHOLULA TRIPLE AIR SHOW RETURNS TO MOUNTAIN HIGH
The $25,000 Triple Air Show returns to Mountain High this Saturday, February 23rd. With $20,000 for the men and $5,000 for the women, the Cholula Triple Air Show and Monster Boarder Babes presented by Powder and Sun is one of the richest one-day snowboarding events in California.  Past participants include Shaun White, Blaise Rosenthall, Matt Hammer, Gabe Taylor, and more.
 
MOUNTAIN HIGH ANNOUNCES THE "VIDEO WARS" FILM CONTEST
Mountain High is proud to announce Video Wars; a competition highlighting action sports videographers in the winter sports industry. All too often, the talented artists behind the camera get over-looked. Video Wars aspires to be the champion for the producers, videographers, and editors by providing them a stage to showcase their talents.
 
SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDER FOUND NEAR WRIGHTWOOD, CA
This week, storms dropped up to four feet of snow in the San Gabriel Mountain Range in the Angeles National Forest. The heavy snowfall drew thousands of skiers and snowboarders to local resorts, but conditions turned deadly when visitors ventured beyond Mountain High Resort’s posted boundaries.
 
NORTH RESORT OPENS TO SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDERS
Resort owners celebrated today as the North Resort opened to skiers and snowboarders for the first time since its purchase in November, 2004. Two feet of recent snow made the event possible and local enthusiasts turned out in droves.

CRONK RAIL A HUGE HIT AT MOUNTAIN HIGH
The Cronk Rail, designed by pro-rider Cory Cronk and the Faultline Terrain Crew, has seen great success at Mountain High. Dual jibs surrounding a simulated staircase combine the raw elements of street riding with the consistency of a terrain park creating a new focal point for urban riders.
 
MOUNTAIN HIGH MAKES MILITARY DISCOUNTS GOOD DURING THE HOLIDAYS
In an unprecedented measure of support for our troops, Mountain High has reversed is policy on Military Discounts making them good during the holidays. This comes after an email from a guest noted that her son would be home from Iraq for Christmas but unable to take advantage of the armed-forces discount.
 
EAST RESORT NOW OPEN TOP-TO-BOTTOM
Mountain High Resort in Wrightwood is proud to announce the opening of its East Resort today at 8:30am. The East Resort offers a traditional alpine experience with the longest trails in Southern California serviced by a single high-speed quad chairlift.
 
SNOWMAKING INVESTMENT PAYS HUGE DIVIDENDS
Mountain High’s summer snowmaking investment has proven to be money well spent. In just 48 hours, the Wrightwood Resort made enough snow to open five runs, set eleven park features, and stake claim to the first Southern California resort to open top-to-bottom.
 
MOUNTAIN HIGH OPENS WITH MOST TERRAIN IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

Mountain High opened top-to-bottom yesterday with five trails and up to four lifts giving them the most terrain of any resort in Southern California. This marks the eleventh year in a row that Mountain High has been the first resort in the region to open top-to-bottom and area operators could not be happier.

Snowmaking began yesterday evening and Mountain High made several inches of new snow on main trails at its West Resort. An official opening day has not been set but resort operators expect it could be as early as this weekend.

CHILDREN'S ACADEMY UNVEILS NEW HOSPITALITY HUT
Getting children involved early is the best way to create lifelong participants, and more students than ever are attending Mountain High’s Children’s Academy. To accommodate the growth, Mountain High has added a new hospitality center which will serve as a welcome arena for incoming parents. The existing facility has been remodeled as well, and the resort boasts all new rental equipment for both skiers and snowboarders.
 
NIRVANA ORTANEZ WINS BEST TRICK AT BOARDFEST 07
Boardfest, the all-girls sports festival in Huntington Beach, CA, saw action from top females in surf, skate, and snow this Labor Day Weekend. Mountain High team rider, Nirvana Ortanez, took Best Trick during the Jeep Snow Zone portion of the event.
 
MOUNTAIN HIGH CELEBRATES LARGEST BUCK OFF RAIL JAM EVER
Mountain High held it’s third annual Buck Off Rail Jam this Labor Day weekend to commemorate the start of it’s annual season pass sale. Despite the unseasonably warm weather more than 3,000 participants turned out making it the largest pre-season event in Mountain High’s history.

Mountain High’s annual season pass sale begins Saturday, September 1st. To kick off the promotion, Mountain High is trucking in 120 tons of snow for its annual Buck Off Rail Jam and Festival. Up to seven features will be available to anyone with a new 2007/08 Season Pass and guests that are not strapping in can tour the festival area filled with vendor booths and sales tents.
