Sat., Dec. 2, 06 Oakley's BIG DAY OUT Jib Fest
Oakley’s Big Day Out comes to Mountain High for its third season. This jib event follows the success of the company’s Big Day Out surf contests which brought the sunglass makers grass roots exposure along the Southern California coast. Open to amateurs and professionals, this jam style jib fest takes place in the Playground, Mountain High’s base area jib park. Riders must tackle five of the resorts signature features and participants are judged on their best trick within the allotted time. Awards include Oakley product and company sponsorships. A small vendor village is also erected allowing guests to interact with the product while DJs provide a stylish background beat.

Sat., Dec. 9, 06 Utility Boardshop’s Battle of the Boards II
This annual jib fest presented by Utility Boardshop features food, fun, and ferocious prizes. Now in its second season, this well-produced event gives local riders the opportunity to strut their stuff amidst a sea of music and giveaways. Competition takes place in the Playground and age divisions include Boys 13 and under, Men 14 and over and Women.
Fri., Jan. 19, 07 Volcom’s Peanut Butter and Rail Jam
This nationwide tour makes its first appearance at Mountain High on January 19th, 2007. Riders will have their hands full with signature rails, challenging boxes and all the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches they can eat. Best of all, it’s free! There is no cost for admission to this nighttime event and prizes include anything and everything from Volcom. Age divisions include 15 and under, 16 and over and Women.
Sat., Jan. 20, 07 Powder & Sun Throwdown and Chowdown presented by www.mountainouthouse.com
This hometown event has become a signature series with its platform, “No rider goes home hungry.” The Throwdown and Chowdown is jib contest featuring plenty of food and scads of schwag. Skiers and snowboarders must hit a series of five features as many times as possible in the allotted time. Judging is based on their best five tricks and the overall winners take home a wealth of prizes. Tim Turner, owner the Powder & Sun retail chain, spends the day cooking up delicious Carne Asada burritos and everyone has a great time. Divisions consist of Groms 12 and under, open men and open women.
Sat., Jan. 27, 07 $25,000 Kawasaki TRIPLE AIR presented by Active Ride Shop and Girl Powder
Snowboarders must tackle three enormous jumps in a row in the Kawasaki Triple Air, the largest big air competition around. Participants are judged on their overall performance including height, style and landing. Now in its ninth season, the event is open to both amateurs & professionals and awards include $18,000 in cash, a Kawasaki KFX 400 Quad, a Rolex Watch and $5,000 in prizes. Past participants include Shawn White, Cory Cronk, Blaise Rosenthall, Matt Hammer, Gabe Taylor, and more.
Sat., Feb. 10, 07 King of the Hill Celebrity Slopestyle
Watch rock stars battle it out for slopestyle supremacy in the second annual King of the Hill Celebrity Slopestyle on February 10th. Includes a rocking vendor fair and live music all day from the Skeletones and guests.
Sun., Feb. 11, 07 H20 Winter Classic
This Southern California favorite combines a day of surfing at the world-famous Huntington Beach Pier with a day on the mountain where a slopestyle competition will determine the overall Pro, Amateur and Industry board riders. The new event structure has seeds for 12 invited pro surfers and 12 invited pro snowboarders. 24 amateurs and 12 invited industry shakers will also battle it out in their own divisions. Past athletes include Terje Haakonsen, Dave Downing, Jamie Lynn, CJ Hobgood, Christian Fletcher, Shane Beschen, Keith Malloy, and Gabe Taylor, along with 3-time overall champion, Troy Eckert.
Sat., Feb. 24, 07 Grenade’s Pull The Pin Event presented by Utility Boardshop
Jam session jib event where riders battle it out for tons of prizes from Grenade, Utility Boardshop and many more. Open to boys 13 and under, men 14 and over and women.
Sat., March 10, 07 Active’s SPONSOR ME Jib Contest
Active and Mountain High are looking for snowboarding’s next super hero. Riders are judged on style and difficulty in a jam format where they have 15 minutes to session each of five features. Their best score from each jib is used to generate a total score and the top 12 move on to the final showdown. There they battle over a single feature for the win. Winner takes home a one year sponsorship from Active, Mountain High, and many others. Overall more than $6,000 in product will be given away at the Sponsor Me event plus a surprise shopping spree at Active Ride Shop.

Mountain High's annual spring break celebration lights up the mountain with live concerts, celebrity radio remotes and exciting events like Pond Skimming, the Big Air Jump and the Faultline Jib Jam. Whether you're a participant or a spectator, there is plenty for the whole family to see and do at Spring Break 2007.
