question about lift tickets

ive never been to mountain high before and im planning on going up soon with my family.  we are planning on getting the 8 hour tickets but im not sure how they work exactly. can anyone explain to me how they work?

Hello.

An 8 hour ticket provides you with 8 hours of skiing or snowboarding from the first time you go through the lift line. You can purchase them from our ticket windows, and if you get held up in rentals etc., don't worry because the ticket's 8 hours do not start until your first run. Hope this helps!
