Sharing Point Tickets (Again)

There's another post I can't reply to about sharing a points ticket, so I'm doing this again.

"Unfortunately that isn't an option with the point tickets. The turnstyles are timed, so one ticket can't be scanned more than once every few minutes (enough time for a run). You can take turns with the point ticket though, like one person at a time. Sorry about that!"

I don't think that's true. At least it wasn't true a couple of weeks ago when I was there last, and it wasn't true last year. I used my points pass to swipe my two kids and then myself through.
