It seems that in the last several years there was always different stages of sales for the seasons passes.

It starts with $299 No Perks or incentive lasts only certain period of time, warning of $50 price increase after. Inevitably every year the sale is extended. Then there are extra perks added such as 2 free passes for friends, or in the case of this year, an included air bag season pass. At no point is there any difference between existing pass holders who renew or brand new pass holders.  The only year I recall any benefit was when the previous season was short and we were given a $50 discount. That year I was stoked and I loved MtHigh and prasied your marketing group.  Every year since I have been dissapointed.

There is always some benefit to those who wait a little longer past the original sale. Why is it that people who decide late end up with a greater reward, or equal reward, to those who buy or renew early?

I love mthigh and I once praised the marketing team for their devotion to passholder loyalty. Should I bother renewing early again for next season, or should I just wait for the 2nd stage or 3rd stage of the sale when I will inevitably be rewarded more? I am going to feel pretty dumb if I keep doing the same thing every year expecting a different result.

Hey Gidti. Got your message.

If you got your pass last season at $299 then right of the bat, you got a great deal.  If you like the special offers the $349 guests are getting this fall then you most certainly can upgrade and take advantage of those as well.  (Look for the $50 upgrade product in the online store).  Please note that this offer ends Sept 5th so you must upgrade prior to that to get the Air Bag season pass and discount to Sierra At Tahoe.  After that the price simply goes up and up and there are no future offers planned.

Hope that helps and we look forward to seeing you on the mountain this year.

I put my gear in storage recently and I do not have time to dig through to find my pass that I renewed last season. This means I do not have access to the pass ID neccesary to upgrade my pass to include the air bag before the sale ends. Is there a way for me to upgrade without the ID #?

Sure, we'd love to take care of you. Please email us at seasonpass@mthigh.com and we'll look up your account.  Or, if you like, please email me your phone number and I'll have someone get back to you.
