My girlfriend and I drove up from Orange County today hoping to buy a point pass and do a couple runs. This is what we do every year for a past 4 seasons. We come up during early season and buy point pass and enjoy a few runs to warm up for the season. it's hard to hang for 8 full hours the very 1st day back.
So we arrived to the ticket counter at 11:30 am only to get denied a point pass. We were told we could only buy an 8-hr pass. That's so messed up. The website doesn't state anything about point pass not available early season. And even the signs at the resort covered the 8 hr pass sign with the early season rates but the point pass price were still there.
I'm just upset that nothing was done to accomodate us, just a "sorry guys". We ended up going back home since we were not going to pay $80 for two 8-hr tickets for which we'd only use probably 2 hours. I would like to hear back from a management please.
And at least update your website stating POINT PASS NOT AVAILABLE. I know it's business, but people commute for this activity so terms should be clearly posted.

I had this on a MEMBERS ONLY forum and people were saying why didn't i make a scene. or it's my fault that we just left and not assertive, or that i'm doing the wrong thing posting on a forum, or that i should use the "contact us" button, blah blah blah
NO we didn't just leave. We kept insisting they do something about it. the lady that walks around asked us "what type of ticket are you purchasing today" was the one that told us about it 1st, then we complained and she brought us to the counter and the guy at the counter also rejected us even though we insisted that what they're saying doesn't make sense since we do the same every year. We go often, but not enough for a season pass.
Yes, I did also write on their "contact us" part (they did respond, saying "point pass not available until we are fully operational", same thing they said there, neglecting to address the part that we do this every season...)

And I'm posting this on here so others may be aware. and you can spread the word to your friends or family who may be thinking of going up for point pass early. I asked them to also clearly put that on their home page that POINT PASS NOT AVAILABLE yet, but I see it's not up yet either...
in the end we all know it's business tactics... hoping other's with the same ordeal will give in and buy their 8-hr passes.
