To the people who asked about going out of bounds...

For a fact you can get your pass suspended (mine was for a week) for going out of bounds.  My buddy had his lift ticket clipped.  Pretty sure it was the head ski patroller, white guy with the goatee?  Dont risk it unless everyone gets the facts straight and there is a clear conclusion.

Any way to get the final answer from the ski patrol or whoever it is that would make that decision?

Hi. Your asking what the official penalty is for going out of bounds?

Spoke with Patrol and while we heavily recommend against it, we really don't pull passes for going out of bounds.

Alright good to know.  I just didnt want anyone else to get a time out for going ob, probably was due to the timing of it, it was shortly after the avalanche a few seasons back. (RIP)

Thanks.

True.  If the Forest Service "closes" the forest to recreation like they did during the avalances then it becomes illegal and your ticket can be pulled.  Best wishes.

Aside from hearing online or something, is there anywhere on the mountain that actually says its closed, like somewhere near the lifts, or where you would see it walking in?  I know most people arent going to be looking for it, and alot of people arent going to look online (if that info is even available online?) to see if they closed the forest.

Just want to make it clear im not trying to pick a fight or argue, just saying that if people cant tell when the forest is closed, how are they supposed to know when not to go out of bounds?

Seems like there should be some posting, clearly visible, from Mt High saying "forest is closed, do not go out of bounds, can lose your ticket, or season pass for xx amount of days"

Being able to do it one day, and then getting a ticket clipped the next time you do it is not right. (unless its clearly posted)
