I was planning on going for my first snowboarding class this weekend but all my friends have suddenly backed out. Is it advisable to go at it by myself? More than the company..I am more concerned about the fact that Ill be pretty f**ked if I manage to get injured and theres no one with me...a lot of people have advised me against it. What say?

Ha, No I don't think you'll have to worry about getting injured on the beginner slopes.  A lesson is the perfect way to start and pretty much guarantees against such things.  Come on up.  There will be a bunch of other beginners learning as well and it's great way to meet new people.  Smiley
