Just saying, there should be.  I like going to east if I'm teaching someone to ride or on the weekends because no one really goes over there.  Those little rails at the bottom last season were way cool, so you can get at least a little jibbing in if you spend the whole day there, and no one really hits them so the landings don't get all rutted out.

You guys should throw up like a little beginner jump line or something at the top of East too, or at least for sure put what you had back in again.

That's a great comment.  Personally, I didn't believe those features were used that much so I'm glad to hear you enjoy them.

Question:  Are they really good features for learning on?  Or should we place some more beginner boxes down there?  I thought the features last year were pretty tall.

Yeah they were pretty high off the ground and I think that put a lot of people off.  A buddy of mine wouldn't hit any of the rails there because of that.  I can say for a fact though that his first slid box ever was earlier in the season when you had the 10 foot box there (he was pretty upset when you moved it actually), and my first flat rail ever was that one you had at the bottom of east.  Took me 10 tries in a row though lol, but I murdered it all season after that.  I actually liked that flat rail so much I hiked it a little, which I am mostly way too lazy to do.  Its quicker than hiking the playground, and its not crowded so you don't have to wait in line. So yeah the height factor was a little intimidating, but the fact that they were able to stay so perfectly groomed all day completely made up for it, at least for me.

It's just nice to know that even if you are going to east side for a chill out day you can still brush up on your rail skills a little, I feel like I wasted the day sort of if I don't at least try to improve one aspect of my park riding some.

I know that east side is sort of for the people that aren't into park riding, but I'd think even those people wouldn't mind getting to see moves while they wait in the lift line, as long as they don't feel like its cluttering the mountain (which it obviously does not at all just sitting there at the base).

Great comments.  Yes, we'll definitely keep some features over there this winter and try to "easy" them up a little.

Best wishes.

I don't know about easying them up, like I said I thought they were pretty much perfect, but a ten foot box is for sure nice to have as an option for those who don't hit rails yet.

Stoked to finally ride Sunday!
