You must not be a fan of fresh pow
No, I just wouldn't want to be in whiteout conditions at night.

Night riding is not that bad.  It depends on the conditions of course BUT there are times when it is better than during the day.  It is always less crowded for one.  Two, there is a cinderella hour where all the water drains out of the snow because there is no more melt but it hasn't started to re-freeze yet.  The snow is heavy but has a great slide to it so that if you fall, it's like a slip & slide.  Get a yellow night lense and add a layer.  I rarely go just for a night ride but often stay from opening until close.

I have yet to do this.  The friends I ride with will prob reach a level where their legs will be able to do that this season.  If not... I'll find new friends, lol.

It's not like I havn't ridden at night. I just don't like it nearly as much as getting there at 730-8 and riding until late afternoon/evening. Night riding is not the same as night riding while it's dumping and you have 10-15 feet of visibility... I'd rather show up ridiculously early to ride that powder.

Nothing beats being the first to bomb that corduroy or hitting untouched powder.

I take a long break around 5pm or so.  I probably did this at least 5 times.

I'm 2 years older than you.  I just ride with the end of the season in mind.  As in - I'll hate myself if I don't get in every run I possibly can.
