Aries- Try the hike that runs between the resorts. The trailhead is at the exit of West's upper lot.

You will quickly see that it would not only be wrong to develop that terrain, it's completely unsuitable for skiing.

And you're forgetting how low that area at North actually is.  It would be tough to keep snow on it, even in the best of years. 

Kind of a moot point since it will probably never happen but it sure would be nice to see one if not both get developed.

Disappointing how low it is.

Maybe someday the fault will cause a nondestructive earthquake that gives the San Gabes another 2 or 3 thousand feet.
